We are doing a water walk. As a part of our 30 Hour Fast, we are fundraising to help get food and clean water and medical supplies to children all over the world.
On average, people in the developing world walk 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) every day to get water.
Worldwide, 785 million people lack access to clean water.
Globally, women and children spend 200 million hours collecting water each day, with many of them making multiple trips.
Every year, students across the country participate in the 30 Hour Famine. Our Horizon High School Ministry believes that this event is really important to make sure we do not take for granted all of the blessings that we have. It is crucial that we use our resources to care for others who can benefit from them.
