Why do we sing?

Music has been a vital part of the people of God since the very beginning. Music has the power to move us, to shape us, and connects with us in deep and powerful ways.   

But we don’t sing and play primarily for what we get out of it. We sing and play because we are worshiping and celebrating our God, who is worthy of our praise. 

God tells us that we are to worship Him “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). That is God’s desire for those who lead, and also for those who are being led. If the Spirit moves you to be involved in our worship services through music, please contact our director of church music, Rachel Zahn.
