Our Beliefs and Passions

What We Believe

Bloomington/Living Hope Lutheran has a rich history and is a truly Lutheran Church based on the apostolic, Christian faith and is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

In an age of anxiety, we still believe that peace comes from Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

In an age of confusion, we still believe that the Bible is the Word of God, inerrant and infallible.

In an age of doubt, we still believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born ofthe virgin Mary.

In an age of guilt, we still believe that Jesus died on the cross to remove the power of sin and Satan from our lives.

In an age of reason, we still believe that God is at work in the sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion.

In an age of constant change, we still believe in the unchanging Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Our Vision Given Us by Jesus

Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." This stands as the mission of Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran Church. We exist to help people grow in faith and in their relationship with the Lord. We exist to witness Jesus Christ to others who may not know him as Lord and Savior; to know Christ and to make Him known.
